Cookie Policy – Boom
This page explains how Boom and the boomkasino.fi review portal use cookies and similar technologies to deliver a working site. It covers what gets stored on your device, how long it stays, and what you can do about it.
How this site remembers you
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site recognise you on return visits — nothing more elaborate than that. This portal uses them to remember which pages you have viewed, whether you have accepted the cookie banner, and basic preferences like language settings.
The majority are session cookies, which expire when you close your browser. A smaller number are persistent cookies, kept for up to 12 months, mainly to avoid showing you the same consent banner repeatedly.
The analytics question
We use Google Analytics to understand which sections get read and which devices people arrive from. This service sets its own cookies and collects anonymised usage data — page views, session duration, referral sources. No personal information is stored, and IP addresses are masked before processing.
You can block analytics cookies through the consent banner or your browser settings without affecting the rest of the site. The portal still works; we simply lose visibility into how it is used.
Scripts we do not control
Embedded content from third parties — video players, social-media widgets, affiliate tracking pixels — may set their own cookies when you interact with them. These are governed by the policies of the services that place them, not by this portal. Common examples include YouTube embeds and Twitter timelines, where applicable.
We limit third-party scripts where possible, but any that remain are noted in the table below. If a script changes or a new one is added, this page is updated within 30 days.
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Session management, consent storage | Session or 12 months |
| Analytics | Google Analytics (anonymised) | 24 months |
| Third-party | Embedded content (YouTube, social widgets) | Varies by provider |
Your options
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies. The specifics depend on which one you use:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Blocking all cookies will prevent the consent banner from remembering your choice, so you will see it on every visit. Session cookies remain essential for the site to function — without them, page navigation breaks.
Revisions
This policy was last updated on 25 August 2026. We review it whenever a new script is added or a third-party service changes its own terms. Material updates are flagged at the top of the page for 60 days.
Questions about how cookies are used on this portal can be sent to [email protected]. We aim to respond within 48 hours on weekdays.
